Who should attend this course:

This course is suitable for learners who lack fluency and speak slowly with frequent repetitions and self-corrections.
They trend to use simple and short sentences. Have a limited range of vocabulary and often grope for words.
They find it difficult to discuss unfamiliar and complex ideas due to lack of vocabulary and grammar.
They commit frequent grammar errors. Intonation and pronunciation are better than Beginners-A1 learners but there are obvious limitations in producing these consistently.

By the end of this course the participants will:

– feel comfortable to speak in English for discussing familiar topics; they will begin to show greater confidence in expressing complex ideas, too.
– show some degree of fluency by using longer sentences, connectives and contractions..
– use an expanded range of social formulas for conversation in daily life, e.g. greetings, farewells, expressing opinion, agreement, disagreement, giving and asking for advice, expressing strong feelings of joy and surprise.
– be able to give a short 2 to 3 minute talk on a chosen topic with and without preparation.
– acquire an expanded word bank which will help them express their thoughts and feelings in both familiar and unfamiliar everyday situations.
– use a wider range of grammar with fewer errors while producing simple sentences.
– speak with better intonation at word and sentence level. They will also show greater control of pronunciation and their errors will be less frequent.
