Program Background
The English Works! program is an intensive 260+ hour English and employability skills development course for un-employed and under-employed 17 – 25 year-old Pakistanis. The six month program improves participants’ English language, employability and entrepreneurial skills that equips them to compete in the 21st century job market.
We are looking for dynamic, experienced and competitive English language professionals to join our English Works! team.
The program is fully sponsored by the Regional English Language Office at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad and U.S. Consulate General in Karachi.

Online Job Application for English Works 2025 - Teacher (Jacobabad)
Teacher
Jacobabad
20 hours per week – Tuesday to Saturday, 2 to 6 pm
Renumeration: PKR 60,000 to 80,000 per month (inclusive of all applicable taxes)
Contract Duration: February 15, 2025 to August 15, 2025 (tentatively)
- Sixteen (16) years of formal education from HEC-recognized institute in English Language, English Literature, English Linguistics, Education with specialization in English or closely related field.
- At least three years of experience in teaching English to students aged 13-16.
- Strong desire and motivation to work with disadvantaged youth. Experience working with underserved communities will be preferred.
- Advanced level of English language skills.
- Willingness to actively participate in professional development offered throughout the program.
- High organizational skills and efficiency.
- Ability to organize and actively participate in enhancement and out-of-class activities.
- Availability for the weekly number of instructional and program activity hours.
- Basic knowledge of and willingness to learn about U.S. society and culture.
- Competent computer, technological and digital literacy skills.
*Female teachers are required to teach female students.

Management Staff
Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist
Location: Karachi
20 Hours / Week - Mon - Fri (full-time)
Renumeration: PKR 110,000 (inclusive of all applicable taxes)
Contract Duration: February 15, 2025 to September 15, 2025 (tentatively)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Statistics, or related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing M&E frameworks for education or development programs, preferably in the context of youth empowerment or education.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis software and qualitative analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills, including report writing, data visualization, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders, conducting field research, and building capacity in M&E methodologies.
- Knowledge of global citizenship education, English language teaching, and low-income community development is desirable.
- Fluency in English and Urdu is required; proficiency in other local languages is an advantage.
- Commitment to data-driven decision-making, accountability, transparency, and continuous learning.

Instructional Staff
Academic Coordinator
Location: Karachi, Khairpur, Jacobabad and Dera Murad Jamali
20 hours per week – Tuesday to Saturday, 2 to 6 pm
Renumeration: PKR 80,000 to 100,000 per month (inclusive of all applicable taxes)
Contract Duration: February 15, 2025 to August 15, 2025 (tentatively)
- Sixteen (16) years of formal education from an HEC-recognized institute in English Language, English Literature, English Linguistics, Education with specialization in English or closely related field. MS/MPhil/PhD will be given preference.
- Possess advanced level of English language skills.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in teaching English to students aged 17-25.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a leadership position overseeing academic program management or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Ability to conduct tailored professional development sessions for teachers based on identified needs.
- Ability to monitor and evaluate teachers’ performances and provide constructive feedback as necessary.
- Possess computer literacy for weekly, monthly and quarterly records and reports.
- Effective teamwork skills, fostering collaboration within the academic and administrative teams.
- Experience with and knowledge of various employment sectors to support the employment prospects of program participants.
- Strong desire and motivation to work with disadvantaged youth. Experience working with underserved communities will be preferred.
- Willingness to participate in professional development offered by RELO Pakistan / Evolution.
- Preference shall be given to those who have participated in OPEN GOCs/MOOCs/or any other RELO funded program previously.
