Leading educationists around the world consider creativity and critical thinking to be among the most important skills that schools must nurture and develop in students. Similarly the idea of higher order thinking, popularly known as Bloom’s Taxonomy, has been a popular and important conceptual framework in education.
In recent years educational thinkers, planners, textbook writers, and trainers have been increasingly trying to foster the development of Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking and Higher Order Thinking among students at all levels and across all subjects. Unfortunately, traditional exam oriented school curricula do not cater to these skills.
This workshop will integrate the three powerful strands of thinking in a way that participants can connect them to almost the entire range of their teaching practice – particularly for syllabus designing, lesson planning, classroom teaching and assessment. The session will offer a balance of introducing and explaining the concepts and engaging the participants in a number of exciting hands-on activities.
In this workshop the participants will
