Program Background

The English Access Scholarship Program is a 370+ hours program aimed at providing opportunities for learning English to Pakistani youth (age 13-16) from underserved areas of Sindh. While developing participants’ English Language proficiency remains to be the core aim of the Access program, the program also provides opportunities to learners for developing positive attitudes, sense of team building, learn about diversity, gain appreciation of the American culture and values and active citizenship. Evolution is pleased to implement the fully sponsored Access program 2024-26 in Karachi, Bhitshah, Tando Allah Yar (Rashidabad) and Umerkot.

The program is fully sponsored by the Regional English Language Office at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad and U.S. Consulate General in Karachi. The program was formerly known as English Access Microscholarship Program. 

Access Instructional Team Job Announcement

--> Job Position: Teacher
Working Commitment: 20 hours per week – Tuesday to Saturday, 2 to 6 pm (This may vary based on afterschool and intensive instructions. Intensive instructions only take place during Winter vacations)
Renumeration: PKR 40,000 to 60,000 per month (inclusive of all applicable taxes)
Contract Duration: November 01, 2024 to January 31, 2026

  • Sixteen (16) years of formal education from HEC-recognized institute in English Language, English Literature, English Linguistics, Education with specialization in English or closely related field.
  • At least three years of experience in teaching English to students aged 13-16.
  • Strong desire and motivation to work with disadvantaged youth. Experience working with underserved communities will be preferred.
  • Advanced level of English language skills.
  • Willingness to actively participate in professional development offered throughout the program.
  • High organizational skills and efficiency.
  • Ability to organize and actively participate in enhancement and out-of-class activities.
  • Availability for the weekly number of instructional and program activity hours (after-school, enhancement activities and intensive sessions).
  • Basic knowledge of and willingness to learn about U.S. society and culture.

Renumeration: PKR 178,000 per month (inclusive of all applicable taxes) 
Contract Duration: May 15, 2024 to February 28, 2026

Job Specifications:

  • At least a Master’s degree from an HEC-recognized institute in English-related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in the education sector managing English language programs as a team lead.
  • 5+ years of experience in teaching English to students aged 13-16.
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate teachers and provide constructive feedback.
  • Proven skills to conduct need-based training for the teaching staff.
  • Commitment towards achieving the set programmatic goals and objectives.
  • Possesses advanced level of English language skills.
  • Proven Ability to work in a team and individually.

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized institute.
  • 2+ years of experience in teaching English to students aged 13-16.
  • 2+ years of managing educational programs, especially in underserved communities.
  • Must be computer proficient, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Commitment towards achieving the set programmatic goals and objectives.
  • Possesses advanced level of English language skills.
  • Proven Ability to work in team and individually.
  • Ability to write detailed reports on daily, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Effective problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Fluency in English and Urdu is required; proficiency in Sindhi is an advantage.

--> Job Position: Admin and Finance Officer
Working Commitment: 40 hours per week – Monday – Friday (full-time) + Saturday during Access class hours
Renumeration: PKR 97,000 per month (inclusive of all applicable taxes) 
Contract Duration: May 15, 2024 to February 28, 2026

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field from an HEC-recognized institute. ACCA/CA (full or partial) qualification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as an Admin and Finance Officer, preferably in the NGO sector.
  • Strong knowledge of office procedures, financial management principles, and local/international financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in using automated accounting systems and financial software.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with donor-funded projects, grant management, and budget monitoring is advantageous.
  • B1/B2 proficiency in English and Urdu, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Sindhi will be a plus.
     

 

--> Job Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
Working Commitment: 40 hours per week – Monday – Friday (full-time) + Saturday during Access class hours
Renumeration: PKR 150,000 per month (inclusive of all applicable taxes) 
Contract Duration: May 15, 2024 to February 28, 2026 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Statistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 3 years in designing and implementing M&E frameworks for education or development programs, preferably in the context of youth empowerment or education.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis software and qualitative analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing, data visualization, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, conducting field research, and building capacity in M&E methodologies.
  • Knowledge of global citizenship education, English language teaching, and low-income community development is desirable.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu is required; proficiency in Sindhi is an advantage.
  • Commitment to data-driven decision-making, accountability, transparency, and continuous learning.

Job Specifications:

  • Sixteen (16) years of formal education from an HEC-recognized institute in English Language, English Literature, English Linguistics, Education with specialization in English or closely related field.
  • Excellent English language skills (all four skills)
  • Minimum of five years of experience as an English Language Teacher at high school level.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in educational leadership position will be preferable.
  • Willingness to participate in professional development offered by RELO Pakistan/Evolution.
  • Ability to conduct tailored professional development sessions for teachers based on identified needs.
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate teachers’ performances and provide constructive feedback as necessary.
  • Ability to organize enhancement activities such as field trips, service-learning project, UN/US days celebrations/observance.
  • Possess basic computer literacy for weekly, monthly and quarterly records and reports.
